The rain turned into snow, and is now turning back into rain making everything look dirty and old. Over in the sidebar there will be a playlist section that will compile playlists from my radio show, for no reason but for reference and to show that I really do play Ruth Ladson a lot.



Little Brother Montgomery is one of the most influential blues piano player of both the pre and post war eras. His career started with Paramount, but he mostly recorded for Bluebird in the pre-war years. After the war he was a session player for several great early rock-n-roll people like Otis Rush and Buddy Guy. This track however, is from his first recording session way back in 1930 for Paramount it's a very remarkable piano instrumental that would become his signature piece entitled "Vicksburg Blues."
