Actually Dixon &#38; Godrich say the guitar on this track is probably by Charlie McCoy rather than Walter Vinson, and I'm certain it's so based on the aural evidence (they were very fine and similar guitarists but with Charlie you can hear the mandolin surfacing in those treble trills - just like his guitar work with Tommy Johnson - plus he can't quite snap the bass the way Walter did).

I also tend to agree with D&#38;G's thoughts that Mary Butler is probably Rosie Mae Moore (Charlie's squeeze at the time, before he met Geechie Wiley)... don't you just love these old blues pseudonym puzzles!
