Well, I like them a lot more than "You've Got to Beat Me to Keep Me."

This song was recently redone by no-one less than the great Bob Brozman as 'One Steady Roll'. He used two baritone national guitars on it, and put it in a intriguing 2/3 rythm. It's on his 'Blues reflex' cd, but also on the great 'audio' catalogue for national resophonic instruments. He did change the 'daddy' into a 'baby', mind you.

Thanks for this version of this song!

It's not in my edition of Arnold Rypens' anthology 'The Originals', and Brozman states its a 'trad.', so I was wondering if it is a Trixie Smith song.
