In closing , I am putting together an article on some roots of Sam Collins and Blind Lemon Jefferson: 'I Want To Be Like Jesus In My Heart'; both of course recorded this song. I already have around a dozen earlier gospel versions by quartets/quintettes, etc.going back to 1914, under varying titles; 'I Want To Be A Christian', 'In My Heart',etc. and nearly as many which remain unissued.
