The spammers don’t give up apparently. It’s sort of a hassle, but I know I hate having to register to post comments, so I’m trying to stay away from that option. If anyone knows how to ban IP addresses, let me know.
Wesley Wallace only recorded two solo songs, though he had a couple of tracks with Bessie Mae Smith and a handful more with Robert Peeples (who has thought to have been about every person in the St. Louis area) but he never really shined as an accompanist His No.29 blues is considered one of the finest blues piano instrumentals, and while it’s good I hold that Fanny Lee is his finest work - and doesn’t have his talking all over the piano playing.

I don’t know if you’ve got any of the anti-spam wordpress plugins installed. I’m using Bad Behavior, and I haven’t any problems with spam, but then I didn’t have any before I installed it. It does allow for blocking IP numbers, though.
fantastic. i’ve just been using the spam filter built in that allows you block by keyword. this looks a lot better than just that.
Since you’ve been complaining about comment spam, I thought I’d leave you a real comment. Thanks for this fabulous blog, which I’m sure is introducing many readers to the true blues. Me, I’d like instrumental tracks, especially when they include unique uses of instruments. I also love quirky vocals and mysterious lyrics. My two favorite vocal tracks are Bamalong Blues by the Baxter Brothers and Tommy Johnson’s Cool Drink Of Water Blues. I’ll bet your other readers would like that last one.
Thanks for taking the time to do this blog!
There don’t seem to be too many music blogs covering older music. You would think that there would be more, considering that much music from this era lies in the public domain.
Again, thanks for the music and keep up the good work!
Love your site.
