I played this track on my radio show last night and I've listened it about 20 times since then. I first blogged Victoria Spivey during Lonnie Johnson week and then I think I blogged "One Hour Mama" more recently. This track is Down Hill Pull an obtusely titled track that features some fine piano playing and Spivey's wonderful moaning voice. It also features the first track I've post with drums, such a fun song and I love the lyrics. "There's a change in the ocean/baby, there is a change in me/I'm going to find solid ground/you'll travel on to the deep blues sea.
