Bertha Chippie Hill is more of a jazz singer than a blues singer, but this track "Pratt City Blues" is a solid and remarkable song regardless of genre. Hill gets co-writer credit on this track with Richard Jones one of the most prolific and talented writers of the era. Hill approaches this song very much in the jazz manner, with a very lively and talented band using a great drunken-blues much likes a lot of Ida Cox's sides. Wonderful track.
