As the subject implies, today I have posted a track from Texas Alexander called "St.Louis Fair Blues." Like his namesake, Texas Alexander was born near part of the Brazos River that runs through most of Texas. Alexander is unusual because he does not play any instruments on his recordings. Alexander's voice fortunally is up to the task and he recruited the best session players like Lonnie Johnson, Clarence Williams and later Lighting Hopkins to accompany his wonderfully broken voice.
